Wooden Bridge Competition

Fernas Student activity is glad to invite you to join the Bridge Competition, held in IAET Campus at Wednesday 29^th of December 2021.

Important Dates

• Registration: 11/12/2021
• Introductory Workshop: 14/12/2021
• Proposal Submission: 17/12/2021
• Projects Submission: 25/12/2021
• Main Event: 29/12/2021

General Rules

1. Each team must not exceed 4 students
2. Each project bust be delivered before 25 Dec. 2021
3. The competition is allowed for all students
4. It is prohibited to use extra wood
5. It is recommended to prepare a proposal for the design within 7 days from the starting date

Conditions

1. The bridge has span of 100 cm and width of 25 cm.
2. Use only wood and suitable connections (glue, bolts, ..)
3. The system must be designed as a determined structure
   The total weight of the system must
4. not exceed 3000 g with allowable 20% for connections.

Evaluation

The project will be evaluated according to:

• Failure load
• Architecture design
• Structure system
• Drawings
• Calculations
